TOPIC ( letter)


A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor local children for two years or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public.


Write a letter to the company. In your letter:


  • Describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team.

  • Summarize the benefits of paying for the concerts.

  • Say how you think the company should spend the money.


Dear Sir or Madam,


I am writing in connection with the advert published in The DAWN newspaper last Sunday which states that Green Land Limited has made a decision to facilitate the young boys and girls of our area with sports opportunities or the company would like to spend a large amount of money to support a couple of open-air concerts. I would like to give my feedback in this regard.


The major positive aspect of giving a helping hand to the young of our vicinity in the field of sport is their health and prosperity. Not only will young ones be physically stronger than those who do not do any sports but they will also be mentally healthier than others who are in the same age group. Also, it could be beneficial for those teenagers who really wish to pursue sports as their final career. Having completed their education, many students would like to join international sporting teams.



On the other hand, if concerts are arranged, both the youth and the adults may take equal interest. Like other free time enjoyment in the open air, arranging concerts might bring a great reason for happiness in those people’s lives who are either under stress due to overwork in their offices or they to fade up with their everyday routine life. To see them prosper, this activity could be a good source of stress reliever.



I think, to better spend this money, the company ought to take young people into consideration. Fresh blood would be able to avail this golden opportunity if money is dedicated to organizing the sports team rather than holding a singing stage for temporary enjoyment only.


I trust my suggestion would be considered in favor of the young in our society.

IELTS (CLB 9) became my ultimate target and I wanted to clear it with a good band. I started practicing on my own, but could not get the desired results. One of my close friends introduced me to Seema's IELTS Academy . First of all, I would like to praise you for the great hospitality that hotel management and its staff provided during the event.
